This sector played little role in the Galactic Civil War due to its slimly-populated state. Along with that, and the fact that there are 12,387 planets and moons in this sector, the Rebel Alliance built one of their starfighter bases on the planet Tierfon, located in this sector. With all those possibilities, the Imperials had a difficult time locating this base.

Another planet located in this sector is Kashyyyk, which is home to the wookies.
