The base where Rebels moved to after the Battle of Yavin. Located on the ice world of Hoth, they thought they would be safe from detection. The headquarters was commanded by General Carlist Rieekan. It was able to service transport and combat vehicles, had perimeter defenses consisting of Golan Laser Batteries; Atgar Laser Cannons; and trenches, a planetary ion cannon, and an energy shield.

Darth Vader managed to seek out the rebels at Echo Base and launched an attack force to destroy it. During the Battle of Hoth the Rebels retreated and abandoned the base.

Years later, the Imperial Remnant established a small base under the surface. The entrance was a downed AT-AT walker. They were helping a Sith cult called Deciples of Ragnos locate the exact location of Dagobah from the flight records.
