Fidelis
Species: Tac-Spec Footman Droid
Affiliation: To the Malreaux Family
Title: Gentleman's Personal Gentlething
Fidelis was a Tac-Spec Footman droid painted in an ornate livery, cream with crimson limbs. Blood and ivory colors were checkered on its torso. It featured a Tau/Zeiss telescopic sniperscope in its photo receptors and Chiang/Xi audiofilament tech for accute hearing.
Fidelis served the Malreaux family for as long as it ruled Vjun. When the last Viscount went mad, the Jedi found that his son, Whie, was a prospective student. The mother Whirry sent Fidelis to Coruscant to look after Whie until he returned home. Since he couldn't go into the Jedi Temple, he was forced to stay in an abandoned apartment a couple kilometers away. He was able to use his technology to watch the exterior of the Temple.
It was there that he met Solis, another droid of the same series as himself. They often played djerik to pass the time. Years passed by until one day they noticed that Whie was heading off planet, and so they followed him.
On board the Reasonable Doubt they found Whie and another Padawan, Scout getting food. While Solis distracted Scout, he revealed his identity to Whie and persisted on being Whie's "Gentleman's personal gentlething". Because this was the Padawans' first mission, they were not experienced and leaked out enough information that Master Yoda was traveling with them, hidden in an R2 casing.
At the Phindar Spaceport, Fidelis was talking to Whie in a café while the Jedi Masters Jai Maruk and Maks Leem were getting tickets for the next leg of the journey. Solis joined them accompanied by Scout when 18 confederate assassin droids, led by Asajj Ventress attacked.
As the fighting started, an SPCB unit attempted to take the two droids into custody. Solice stole a neural-net eraser from Major Quecks and crushed it, causing the rest of the officers to scatter. Fidelis tried to prevent Whie from engaging in the battle, but was unsuccessful. When he saw the assassin droids attempt to hurt Whie, he went to intervene. He arrived to fine only one left, choaking Scout. He plunged his arms into the assassin droid's circuitry, destroying it. Then they turned in time to see the two Jedi Masters die at the blades of Ventress.
After the battle Fidelis, Whie, Scout, and Yoda (Solice had left, and they knew he had betrayed them) managed to get transport to the Jovan Station, an area of junk dealers, to find a ship. They purchased the B-7 Light Freighter Nighthawk. While the Padawans were loading the ship with supplies, Yoda and Fidelis discussed strategies of entering the Château Malreaux on Vjun. On the trip there, Fidelis prepared a grand feast for Yoda and the Padawans.
Arriving on Vjun, they landed outside Bitter End and decided to go through the caverns hollowed out by the Bay of Tears to reach the Château. Yoda had ordered them to stay put while he went ahead.
After a while, they heard Trade Federation battle droids searching the caves. Fidelis, ordered by Whirry, who was ordered by Count Dooku, lead them towards the Château. Suddenly, Scout yelled to hurry up because she felt that the caves were going to collapse. Seconds later a concussion grenade went off (thrown by Anakin Skywalker who had come with Obi-Wan to help Yoda, but unknown to them), collapsing the caves. As the landscape shifted, a lake suddenly broke through and the force knocked Whie towards a cliff. Fidelis ran to save him while Scout used the force to help Whie hold onto a rock. Fidelis reached him as the water finished draining, and they continued to the Château.
When they entered, they were in a room with six assassin droids and Asajj Ventress. Ventress struck Scout in the head for not staying still. Then Ventress gave Fidelis a neural-net eraser to shoot himself in the head with. If he refused, she would have Whie killed. When he did, he became a clump of metal on the floor.
