Darth Bane

Name: Darth Bane
Sex: Male
Species: Unknown
Affiliation: Sith
Title: Dark Lord of the Sith
Homeworld: Unknown

Mystery surrounds some people more than others. Darth Bane was in fact a magnet for intrigue and mystery. A long time ago, before any of the current Sith Lords, Darth Bane established the rules which are now considered to be the core teachings of the Sith doctrine.

After long fighting with other Sith lords, Darth Bane came to the realization that the power of the Dark Lords was spread too thin. Knowing that there were too many Sith around, Darth Bane came up with the three rules that now define the Sith:

  1. The Dark Lords of the Sith shall never number more than two at any given time: one master, and one apprentice.

  2. The Sith Lords shall not reveal themselves to the Jedi Order, so as to focus their training and power without the judging, fearful eyes of those committed to the study of the Light Side of The Force.

  3. Every Sith Master shall give any apprentice they take a new name, beginning with the title 'Darth', to represent their inclusion in the dark brotherhood.

The most commonly known of these rules is the first one.
