Great Hyperspace War

Around 5,000 years before the Battle of Yavin, the Sith dark lord Marka Ragnos, died and with him so did the Sith Golden Age. This lead the Sith into a sort of civil war. All the Sith lords were vying for the top spot of "Dark Lord of the Sith," a term that at that time was only associated with the supreme ruler.

The two major candidates were the rival Sith Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh. Sadow was of pure blood and wanted to expand the Sith into more territories while Kressh was content with the current state of the Sith, and believed that Sadow was using forbidden magic.

The Sith were at the verge of civil war, when exactly at the wrong time and place, a pair of would be explorers, Gav and Jori Daragon, arrived. Now at this time the Sith had mantained it's distance from the areas of the Republic for their two cultures had separated them for almost 20,000 years. The feud with the Jedi during the Great Schism was 20,000 years previous, and all but forgotten.

Gav and Jori are almost immediately mistaken as spies, and the Sith contemplated what to do with them. Kressh believed that they where scouts to an invasion and should be killed immediatlely, but Sadow believed that they could lead them back to the forgotten Republic, for their own invasion.

Sadow fakes a Republic jail break to scare everyone, and in turn they make him Dark Lord, causing tension between the two.

Sadow continues to manipulate his people with missinformation and fakes another Republic attack, this time to retreive Gav and Jori's ship. But this time Sadow intentionally left evidence that pointed to him, knowing that Kressh would do something about it.

Kressh, believing that Sadow would destroy the Sith, attacked Sadow's trap marking the first attempt to kill Kressh.

During this decoy attack, Sadow tricks Jori into escaping, and as planned, the tracking device on Jori's ship leads the Sith straight to the Republic. While Sadow gathered the Sith, a battered Kressh launched another attack. This time on Sadow's fortress. Sadow put a quick end to it by remotely self-distructing Kressh's ship. This the the second failed attempt on Kressh's life.

Hot on Jori's heels, the Sith fleet went off to invade initiating the Great Hyperspace War.

In a surprise attack, the Sith quickly took the Republic unaware. They attacked Koros and Kirrek in what now is known as the Empress Teta System and the Republic capital of Coruscant; however, the Empress Teta heeded Jori's warnings and kept the Sith at bay.

During all of this, Gav was being tortured by Sadow to accept command of the Sith invasion force. They needed someone who knew the Republic's territory and tactics, but now wittnessing all the carnage Gav changed his mind.

In a feat of heroism, Gav confronted Sadow at Primus Gould. Disabling Sadows meditation sphere, Gav eliminated Sadows ability to use Sith powers to control his armies, pushing the Sith back.

Regrouping all his armies at Primus Gould, Sadow drew the Republic into a trap, but Gav warned the Republic. The Republic escaped, but Gav got caught in the trap: The supernova of Pimus Gould.

Fleeing back to Sith territory, Sadow was soon met by an even more battered Kressh and his small force. Sadow then ordered a damaged capital ship to ram Kressh flag ship. The third assassination attempt was the charm and Kressh finally met his end.

Immediatly following Kressh's death, Sadow is attacked by a persuing Republic army. Sadow, now down to one ship, flew between two binary stars. Using Sith magic, Sadow ignited huge solar flares and destroyed the republic army.

With the Sith empire now in ruins, Sadow migrated to the isolated planet of YavinIV ending the war.
