Future of Star Wars History

Star Wars History has been a website devoted to the archival and history of the Star Wars Universe, since June of 2003. It was originally thought up after a careful examination of the changing nature of the Star Wars universe seemed to lend itself well to a wiki format.
However, since that time, myself and the rest of the staff have been engaged in a number of very busy projects, and thus haven't had time to really update the site. In addition, wiki sites such as Wookiepedia have become very popular, and thus have made Star Wars History somewhat of a hobby site, rather than a major competitor in this area.
Since I am probably the only person actively involved in Star Wars History as an administrator, and due to the fact that I am finishing my PhD, there may be very few updates to this site over the next little while. As such, I am officially opening the door to proposals from those who may wish to take over primary administration of the website. I intend to sell the domain name starwarshistory.org, and include along with it, all of the source code for the site, as well as graphics and current databases at the time of sale.
I don't particularly like the idea of selling this domain name or giving away the website, as I have (along with many others) put a lot of time into developing it. Thus, if someone would like to take over as a major administrator, but keep the website hosted from the current location it is at, I would, by all means, be open to this idea.

Welcome to Star Wars History!
Well, as you can probably tell by the dates of the news articles, we've been a bit behind for a quite a while. Mostly, this is due to the very busy nature of all of the administrators on this site. As such, I am placing out a new call for administrators. We currently have three people working on this site, and unfortunately, none of us are very active. I am thinking about opening additional positions in the following areas (beside each position is the number of available openings):
* Wiki Administrator: 4 (multiple categories needed)
* General Site Administrator: 1
* Advertising Administrator: 1
The site has actually been quite alive with new users and people visiting it, so even though we admins haven't been too active, the user community has been! There's a significant chance to gain experience through one of these administration positions. If you are interested, feel free to email me at: scottj@cs.umn.edu.
